There is a new T20 franchise in cricketing world. This one is held in United States of America. It came as a long awaited event bringing some relief to hard core cricket fans in USA.
Its called as Major League Cricket(MLC) and unlike other franchise cricket tournaments this is a short event!. It features only 19 matches (15 round-robin plus 4 knock-out including finals) all in space of 18 days. Each team will play against each other once before knock-out stage. The matches are held in Texas and North Carolina.

We are almost at halfway stage of the tournament with 6 matches. Seattle is leading the table with 4 points in 2 games. They are followed by MI New York and Texas SK.
Its early to predict but none of them were closely contested. Teams batting first won most games and margin of wins were substantial.
Interestingly like other tournaments this does not feature solid start from any opening pair!. So far in 6 matche (12 inns) not a single score above 50 runs was posted for 1st wicket, and same is case for 2nd wicket. It’s the partnerships in the middle order that has helped team post big scores(three > 170+scores). It reflects in power play where maximum wickets fell (29) with five times teams lost 3 or more wickets
