8 Apr / 2015(308)…IPL 8(2015)

As we still recover from CWC2015, cricket has moved on to single-track gauge .THE IPL.

The eight edition of IPL has begun. The weather in India at this time of the year(April-May) will be hot and humid and pitches would be far less bouncy/ pacy to fast bowler’s liking. Therefore it would be interesting to see how fast and swing bowlers would perform and what role spinners will play.

Last year the first half of IPL was played in UAE and the second half in India. What interested me the most was bowling changes made by teams. Teams that changed the bowling frequently won more games, especially in the Powerplay.

Here are links to analysis of previous IPL tournaments.
