This year England’s performance has been chalk n cheese with the bat. As there is a huge difference in 1st Inn & 2nd Inning batting. In 7 Tests played this year , England manage to post most runs in 2nd Innings, in which four times they batted beyond the 100th over, & four times they passed 300 score.
Usually teams like to post big score in 1st Innings…which am sure England would love to do..yet they are not been up to the task. Over all there has been some concern in their batting, yet they manage to grind opponents by not losing many wickets and scoring big in second innings.
In second innings they have the maximum number of centuries, and maximum number of 100+ partnerships.
A quick glance at their batting averages in both innings.
