At end of 9th match of ongoing IPL (2023) replaced players had more impact than Impact players..why is it ?.
1- Impact batsmen bat are used when chasing a target, whereas replaced players bat first up.
and
2- Impact bowlers were only introduced when teams wanted to defend a target and replaced bowlers are bowling first up!
Its similarly to comparing 1st bat v 2nd bat or 1st bowl v 2nd bowl
So, let us look at how players performed in these two roles
