Heat manage to power themselves into the finals on the back of one of the best innings played in franchise cricket.
Josh Brown bludgeoned Strikers to massive total. Now, they would face Sydney Sixers at their backyard, at historic SCG.
Sixers historically have been great in bowling, especially in big matches, their bowlers are able to defend moderate score. However this time around, Brisbane team has some heat in their bowling. Led by Xavier Bartlett the highest wicket taker this season. His bowling performance earned him a place in Australian team for ODI series v/s West Indies starting end of this month. He along with Spence Johnson, Michael Neser and oversea bowler Paul Walter have done major damage at the top. They are well supported by spin-twin of Swepson-Kuhnemann
Sixers on the other hand have well-oiled bowling unit. Led by Ben Dwarshus who is the 2nd highest wicket taker in the tournament conceding 6.77 r/o. He is well supported by veteran spinner Steve O’Keefe, who can restrict any team or target with his slow/fast left arm spin. The SCG will have support spin. They well backed by Tod Murphy (off-spin), ever-improving Jack Edwards and Sean Abbott.
This finals will be more of a bowler’s contest.
