30 Jan / 2016(381)…While chasing(in T20I)Aussies get derailed after 10th over

In last three T20I games Australia had won the toss and chose to field.

In all these 3 games they were asked to chase in excess of 180 or more runs. Besides managing to get a solid start from their top order they still lost all three games.

What went wrong while chasing such stiff target ?.

Here is how their team performed phases wise. Clearly indicating a fall in run-rate particularly boundary rate post 10th over.

Here is how their batters performed in all phases

Their problem was post 10th over where boundary rate got drastically reduced…dearly effecting their run-rate, leading to rising asking rate. They were never able to achieve that rate as they lost wicket in every over!.  The blame purely goes to those who batted post 10th over, where 20 wickets fell (out of total 26 wickets that they lost in 3 games).

In trying to get the right combination Aussies selectors used as many as 18 players in these 3 games. (16 bowlers including 10 specialist(pace/spin) & 6 all-rounders).
