Crowd gathering to view Edrich/Compton make their way

Those days this was the usual site after the test

A wonderful gesture by both teams after the series was won by England. Hutton allowing Lindsay to cut the cake!.

The winning moment!.

Lock(2nd inns) bowled 2 consecutive maidens(3 successive) after tea picking R Archer, A Davidson and G Langley(below) whose technique could not cope with Lock’s bowling.

Aussie capt Lindsay Hasset dismissed(1st inns/1st day) after lunch by Bedser’s leg-cutter that turned back from leg to off!. There was 20 minutes shower during the interval.

Followed by Keith Miller LBW to Bailey. Miller failed to detect most undetectable and undelectable inswinger!. -1st inns/1st day.

1st inns- Alan Davidson caught by Edrich at slip of Laker

1st inn- Neil Harvey bowled by a wrong one trying to hook/pull Lock!. It seems he was itching to hook Trueman and fell to the temptation against spinner. Not a stroke to try at that stage (4-107)
