The table above includes games played by at least 1 Int. team(Aus v/s Scotland included, but Scotland v/s Afghanistan is not)
….Thinking about Arjuna Ranatunga
In his era (1990-2001) the Lankans from a novice team became a top ODI side. At home they had 70.00% success rate and away it was about 42%…
Compare this, post-Ranatunga (2001-2013)teams where home success rate is 64.52% and away success is 49.13% .
However i had an inclination that Arjuna’s team did well against major side at home. Therefore included only Test sides to find out success rate for both eras.
Era – 1990-2001
Home win (v/s AUS, ENG, SA, NZ, ZMB, IND, PAK, BAN, ZIM) =65.30 %
Era – 2001-2013
Home win (v/s AUS, ENG, SA, NZ, ZMB, IND, PAK, BAN, ZIM) =58.24 %
