In last 20 years Australia has a history of not winning their away Test series if score-line is level at the end of 2nd test!.
Currently Aus in SA(2018) series is locked 1-1 with two more tests to play.
So far (since Oct 1998) they have played in 36 Test series(excluding one-off game), of which Australia won their first test 25 times, leading to 19 series win. However if they lose their 2nd test(after winning first test)……success rate of winning that series is 11.11% (1/9).
Ironically that one success came in South Africa when they last visiting in 2014. The 3-test series was locked at 1-1, then Australia won the deciding test by 245 runs at Cape Town.
Interestingly the 3rd test in the ongoing series is played at same venue in Cape Town.
