As the 72th Ashes series gets underway at Brisbane tomorrow (Dec 8-12, 2021). Australia for the very first time will be led by a fast bowler!. Pat Cummins will become the 47th cricketer to lead Australia. The list includes fill-in captains who were fast bowlers as well.

Starc’s overall stats is impressive against England, and especially against left-handers. He has picked 55 wickets of which 47.27% were of left-handers, and 25.45%(14) were of openers. However in last two series against England Starc has been less effective against left-handers in test cricket, and is yet to pick Rory Burns.
