20 Jul / 2021(641)…The Australian way of T20 cricket. Part VI – Big Overs is win factor

In this post we conclude Australia’s T20I analysis.  Here we find why Australia is struggling in this format.

The Big Overs

Big Overs : We consider 10 or more RPO as big overs, and in batting there is a steep drop for Australian team. On the other hand there is regular rise when they are bowling!.

One cannot notice these facts if we have to look into their overall Run rate, but if we use one indices  than one would see difference in progress.

Below analysis is series by series based using this indicators for Batting/Bowling.

To measure the same I have created another indicator that reflects the progress and decline.

10 RPO /with only one boundary.

This indicators tells us % of overs that went for 10 + Runs but featured only 1 boundary(all type). This indicators reveals overall bowling has been leaking too many overs that cost 10+ (with only one boundary). The performance is fluctuating for bowlers

Win factor  v Loss factor (Batting)

We look at across primary indicators when Australia is winning and when they are losing.
