A milestone is not only winning a match, or tournament, or a series, but a regular success over a period. Now one such milestones awaits The Australian ODI team.
They take on England in 5-ODI series on the back of 11 consecutive wins!.
This is the 6th time they have surpassed the streak of not losing in 10 consecutive (11 successive) matches!.
In 2003 Australia won a record of 19 consecutive ODIs(20 successive)in ODI cricket. They still hold that record in Mens ODI cricket.
Before we dive into some more relevant stats, let us compare them with other teams who had regular success.
For this analysis I am marking 5 consecutive (6 successive) as a benchmark. I have left out teams new teams who hardly have won more than 5 games against these teams in this list.
One would notice Sri Lanka had 12 consecutive wins last year!. They were playing against weaker and associate teams so to qualify for WC2023.
The same goes for other teams like New Zealand, WI and Pakistan, hence they have those 5+consecutive wins in last decade or so!.
