As the CLT20 Ended with Sydney Sixer winning for the 2nd time(In 2009, New South Wales won(Sydney Sixer and Sydney Thunder are part of NSW state side) and during those days only India teams had franchise names). As I wrote loudly about my prediction on Team’s average score going beyond >160, which in reality came out to be 146, and I was rightly proven otherwise by team’s performance.
To my defense, few games were affected by weather, which resulted in few shortened inns & abandoned matches. This barred players to practice and train, restricting continuous flow for players and team’s performance, consequentially reducing the Average score of all games played in this tournament.
Hmmm…..now am less worried about my calculation going wrong, or thoughts not getting close to reality…. but more worried about people putting in money at beginning of tournament. Below table has odds from the most popular betting centers.
Am sure they made a kill from odds given to Indian team!!

In whichever way I choose to justify, one thing was certain – T20 is here to stay and it’s a great format for cricketers(of all skill)to climb the ladder to ODIs and Test matches, and this pleases me the most!. There were some remarkable batting performance from unknown, & not so famous players, and some breath taking fielding,(which was never seen as an essential factor for this format). Interestingly variable performance in 4different venues.

Conclusion report: Uniformity shown:
This format allows uniformity and similar pattern, irrespective of…
– – Where you play (country wise) : sub continent or other countries
– – Team composition (club, state or country)
– –Weather condition(rainy, cloudy, sunny, or day or night)
– –Pitch factor (green, dry, soft, slow, bouncy, hard or uneven)
T20 shows little or no respect, if above dynamics have been changed voluntary or involuntary. The pattern remains same!.Runs flow, and wickets fall!.
