Runs per Hour : Average Runs scored in an Hour by a Batsman
An obsolete indicator in today’s cricket, now rarely been used.
This indicator suggests a batsman’s staying ability in an Inn. It still can be very useful in first class and Test cricket.
Example
Mark Taylor (Australia in Pakistan, 3- Test series, 1998)
Inns 5 (4 Wkts)
Runs : 513
Balls : 981
Minutes: 1263
Calculation
Runs per Hour : 513 / 1263 = 24. 37
