The play offs in the IPLs has been very kind to batsmen. In 15 year of history only thrice(2009, 2017 & 2019) teams were not able to post 170+ when batting first!.
The playoffs have 4 matches(apart from 2008 & 2009), and this year in 2 matches the batting average has hit the ceiling with 45.50 runs/wkt, and RPO @9.80 the highest ever.
This also means that picking 10 wickets becomes difficult for bowlers. The last time it happened was in 2017 Kolkata Knight Riders lost all their 10 wicket for 107 v/s Mumbai Indians.
