6 Aug / 2021(642)…Test cricket in England: Partnerships -Not easy to build at the top

Its been more than a month since last Test match was played. Since then we have been treated with endless limited overs matches of both kind.

Now Test cricket is back with Pataudi Trophy, this time in England. India have been in UK since Test Championship Finals got over in June.

They got off to an encouraging start in first Test at Trent Bridge (Aug 4, 2021) bowling out England for meagre total of 183.

England have been struggling in this format for some time now, especially their top order. Having said that even India after getting a solid base from their openers lost 4 wickets in space of 7 overs. From 96/0 they went 112/4 before rain stopped play.

Has it become difficult to bat and post big score in England ?.
