Summary of Australia’s recent performance in India.
Below stats shows how Indian bowling contained Australia batsmen, and vice versa (how Aussie bowlers toiled).
There is a huge difference in:
% of maidens
% consecutive maidens
% of Less than 3 runs in consecutive overs
% less than 3 runs/over
And also % in big overs ( 6+ runs/over)
Although Aussies scored more fifties than Indian, but they manage to convert only one into a Test century – compare to India who had 6 big hundreds!. And as far as partnerships are concerned same story of lack of conversion from 50 plus partnerships to 100plus partnerships.
