In the 90s in the audio industry , they had normal, chrome and metal audio blank tapes, with metal audio tapes being the highest quality for recording songs.
Maxwell tapes had the best chrome/metal product –and the most saleable tapes, more than SONY, TDK, and other companies available in the market.
They had 60 minutes per side (120 minutes for both sides) which was unique that time!.
This was much before DAT (digital audio tapes) & CD (Compact disc)came into being.
Mumbai Indians bought Glen Maxwell(Aussie Int.player) – He is the the highest ever paid player in the IPL – but, he is yet to play a game in tournament..
Very fascinating business deal by the Ambhani’s and Tendulkar (rumor has it that Sachin might be appointed as one of the board member of Ambhani group) to buy and pay the maximum for a player, and not use his potential in the tournament, which they have not won.
So far Mr. Maxwell (the million dollar player)is yet to play a game in this IPL(5 games for MI), and one is not sure where he would bat?.
His purchase value is very similar to a Chris Gayle and K Pollard,
A game changer (with any skill) and a batsman who can change the game in few overs.
I personally believe Maxwell is equivalent to those audio tapes of 90s, and now very similar to what Jadeja is for India and CSK, but if Mr. Maxwell is not given a game (run on the field),than he would not be able to perform to his potential …respective how talented he is… as in past we saw what happen to Mr.Pollard for MI , not a single match winning performance, or what MI wanted him to deliver ?.
In the highest run aggregate for Mumbai Indians, Dinesh Karthik (Bat No3 ) is at No 4 with 257 runs in 5 games – and only Rohit Sharma has crossed 100 run aggregate, and no other stalwarts(Pollard, Sachin, Ricky& D Smith) has done that in 5 games!.
