1.2.5.6 – Runs scored of first 2 and last 2 balls of an over.
This is an unique indicator, very handy in analyzing Limited Over Matches. In this we find the average Runs scored for each of these balls(first, second, second last & last)of an over.
The purpose of this indicator is to find out Teams’ Momentum(Batting Side/Fielding side) and see which team has an advantage in a given situation, either in powerplay or any period of play.
Explanation
Batting perspective : in an over, how many times teams are able to score from these balls, and are they able to continue and maintain their momentum in next over.
Fielding (Bowlers)perspective : in an over how many times teams have prevented opponents from scoring runs of these balls, and are they able to maintain pressure in next over.
